04 Rebuilding car hauler hydraulic stabilizer frame mount flange. This is page 04 you are now on. Below on the ground, you can see the patch we've designed and cut ready for installation. The hydraulic lift arm ripped right out of the frame. The frame is so rusted and so thin the arm cant be just welded back. First I must reinforce and re-strengthen the frame itself. Then I can reattach the arm to the new strong metal. The size of the rotten spot in the car carrier frame, dictates the patch must be larger than the bad area so it attaches to strong steel again for full strength. Yes I know you've already seen the patch. But now you get to see it being made. The cost of cutting with this saw is much more expensive than cutting with a torch. But I insist on the quality and accuracy this saw gives me. And what do I care if its more expensive? I'm spending your money, right? Your the one that wants strength and quality right? Its not my equipment being fixed. The special blades this saw uses are expensive and don't last a long time. But the accuracy of the cuts lasts forever. No I'm not there for the view of her head. I'm holding the piece still by standing on it, while she cuts it. Yah, she knows she did a fantastic job. She takes as much pride in her work as I do mine. Ok, you saw the patch being fabricated for this car hauler rebuild. Now you can see it being welded into this car carrier. She is making sure all the paint and contamination are being removed from the place my welds have to be. Below: Why are we not removing the paint from the bottom left edge? Because I am not going to weld there. There is no real metal there to connect to. All that's there is paint and paper thin rust. The interior metal is long gone already. I spend my time being effective, not wishing for results in the wrong places. Oh, the tight fits we get ourselves into. Ut oh. You got cheated out of watching me weld in the patch. Want a refund? The end. This is all the customer paid for, though in my opinion it still needed much more work. But his goal was to make it function long enough to sell it if he could find a sucker. At least I know the work I did will outlast the rest of the trailer. 01 Before pictures of the damage. 02 Rebuilding car hauler frame drivers side.
