What I am aiming for.

I need a web designer to create the appeal and identify the functions of my new website.

I need a web developer to install, wordpress, install the theme Kallyas, to copy my old website (about 30 pages) and move it into the new website that is responsive. And they will create new pages my content creator is to deliver them. About 20-30 new pages.

I want someone to post articles all over the internet and back link to my website.

I want a seo expert to make sure we get to top of googles search results.

I want a video editor to take my footage I already have, and make slick promotional videos for me, and to upload them to youtube.

I want someone to write and post articles on how to hire the best low cost sandblaster, slanted to me of course. 10 tips for hiring a great low cost sandblaster?

which review websites would be good for me to get reviewed on?

Closely resemble what an actual user would type into a search engine. They ask questions, how to, what is, etc. After all, keyword research involves looking at the questions that users ask on the internet. As users perform searches more like they would verbalize a question, studies have shown long-tail key phrases are driving results due to greater relevancy and less competition. and ... Search engines love frequently updated sites. ... which keeps them sharing your content, linking to it, and telling others about it. These are all signals that help boost organic traffic. ... The first task in online marketing is determining the keywords that your business needs to be found for, and the competition that it faces at the keyword level. An SEO will work with you to learn your brand and your audience, define those key terms, and translate them into phrases that are searched by your targets.

By the time I am done with everything, I expect to spend $10,000. My aim is to spend $500-$1,000 per week.

My old website is 6 years old and outdated as it is not responsive. (The second of the digital marketing freelancers that you will want to hire is a mobile site designer. Your current website may be designed to be responsive, but it may not be mobile optimized. The mobile experience on any website out of the box can be greatly improved in many ways. This designer will have specific mobile optimization experience that the average website developer does not. The architecture is complex, you must have simplified information and forms, and you will need mobile-specific features like breadcrumbs and a click-to-call phone number.) So I'm building a new website. Many pages of content from my old website will be copied and moved to the new responsive wordpress website. But while I'm at it, I want to create many new pages (20 or more) on the new website to further promote my business of sandblasting.

Here is where you come in. Instead of me spending my time creating the content for the new sandblasting pages, I want to pay you to do it.

Instead of me researching the secrets of great SEO and making sure my new website is in compliance, I want to hire someone to do it.

How to Discover and Monitor Bad Backlinks   https://moz.com/blog/bad-backlink-analysis-using-moz-link-explorer    and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=759heZUsjsA

Another company that did very similar to my project is Fixr listed below. Maybe I can learn from them.

study #1 Since your not a sandblasting expert like me, you will need to study the top sites out there and identify great content. You can copy it, you can plagiarize it, you can rewrite it to improve it, what ever. Just deliver to me great content.

That will be study #1. Identifying, acquiring, and delivering great content and pictures to me for use on my new sandblasting website.

There is two aspects of content creation. One aspect is described above where you get the story and pictures yourself.

The other aspect is described below, where I give you a folder of pictures and an audio file accompanying it.

This would also include me giving you a folder of pictures we have from past jobs of ours. You'd take those pictures, filter through them (keep some, delete some), write a story description of what's going on in those pictures, and create content and a picture order of layout. You can do that in MS word (or MS Publisher) and save it as a html file and not a DOCX or DOC and definitely no PDFs.

Here is content refined and ready for publishing on the new website. http://after-hours-welding.com/blasting/log_cabin_restoration_with_sandblasting.html

To help you create a story, I would record a audio file, telling you what's going on in that job and what our aim of focus is. You'd convert that audio into text, and mix/arrange it with pictures to tell a story of what's going on while maintaining a attractive functioning layout. Your value to me is help me reduce the amount of time I have to involve in content creating.

Study #2. Studying, researching, identifying what the top sandblasting websites out there did to get them at the top 3 pages of googles organic search results. This is called SEO.

One applicant wrote "I write to provide fully useful, well-researched, search-engine optimized, and engaging content." Those are all vague terms and phrases. I want specifics. What specifically will/did you do/incorporate into the content to make it search-engine optimized. If you cant explain it then I cant believe your able or will do it.

What is fully useful? What's your specific definition of well researched? How specifically would you engage my customers/readers? Even better yet, how will you make them want to pay me to deliver my services to them?

Study #3

Another project/test. I want you to find 20 if possible, 10 minimum, videos where a business shows prospective customers, the kind of work they do.

I don’t want to find high dollar commercials made by expensive professionals. I do want to find low budget self-made features that work well, that we can follow similar patterns.

Send me links/URL’s of what you found.

Identify and tell me what they did well that we can do also. What they did bad that we want to avoid. Go in depth here, find as much as you can. Document carefully so we know with precision what recipe we want to use when we follow suit. Every to do recipe has as many to avoid aspects. Identify both.

What I’m not looking for. A short report that is highly incomplete and missing a lot of valuable knowledge. I love long and rich. Deep and full.

Keywords are important to find an appropriate web article. And in the new website we are now in the design stages of (and your part of), will fully take keywords into account.

But google has now for the last 9 months taken it further. Along with googles search results, google is now attempting to offer videos that may answer the question/search query used in google.

This is the search I entered.

Log cabin sandblasting

This link shows you what google showed me. Well, not always. Sometimes google shows different people different results for identical searches, based on google identifying or patterns of searching OR your geography.

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&ei=9c2fXKSbPMby5gL34ZL4BQ&q=Log+cabin+sandblasting&oq=Log+cabin+sandblasting&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0i22i30.1023292.1029905..1030544...0.0..0.376.2752.7j13j1j1....2..0....1..gws-wiz.......0i71j0i131j0j0i67j0i131i67j0i131i10j0i10.jRjbxg-_ays

Here is a screen shot of what google showed me, in case you get different results.

Along with a new website, I aim at making dozens of videos that match dozens of keywords.

I want my videos at the top like google is now offering. I already have video footage of 20 different types of sandblasting we have done in the past. And along with having these videos show up at the top of googles search results, these same videos will be on my new website, on the page specific to that topic/type of blasting.

I’m going to hire a video editor and hand them my video footage. I’m considering having you work with that editor and give him instructions on how we want it to turn out. What we are looking for. What we want to avoid. I will record an audio file describing what we are doing in the sandblasting video and give it to you. You will turn that into text content the video editor will use. You will work with her/him, guide them and have them make revisions until you’re happy. Then when you’re happy, I will inspect it and maybe/maybe not want more revisions.

This next test project will pay you $25 for stage 1. If I like what you learn and report to me, I will pay you more and have you go deeper into this study as your next assignment (stage 3). As long as I like what your digging up, we will continue along this line (3,4,5?), until either you’re a expert and ready to work with the video editor, or I see no more value in what your research is coming up with.

The last report you gave me was nothing but a test. But this time I want real info specific to our goals. This time I will answer any questions you have. As many as you may have.

While I want real tangible results, it’s still a test in that I’m evaluating your research and mining abilities. When you can convince me you can design a SEO optimized video to make it to the top of googles search results, then:

1 You will begin working with a video editor being their only source of guidance.

2 We will do this over and over until I have my 20 videos produced.

Then…. Hell, I don’t know. Life has proven to me I can’t predict the future.

While you can study the videos that show up at the top of googles search results page, to see how they got there, you can also study youtubes videos to identify more guidelines we will want when creating our videos.

Study or project #4

I'm about to hire a web designer to design the looks and function of my new site. Then I will hire a web developer to build it.

As far as the designer goes; I wonder do I have to go out and find them, interview them, check their references and quality of work, as compared to their prices and costs?

Or can I hire one of you to do that? I'm not positive what I want so it will be hard to describe to you what I want, so it might be challenging to you to deliver something to me that pleases me.

Study or project #5

I'm about to hire a web developer to build the structure and function of my new site. Install wordpres, install my paid for theme Kallyas. Copy my old website, and move 30 pages into the new website.

The web developer will work in conjunction with the designer, to implement the design into function.

As far as the developer goes; I wonder do I have to go out and find them, interview them, check their references and quality of work, as compared to their prices and costs?

Or can I hire one of you to do that? Their past work history and abilities will have to be well researched and verified.

Study #6.

For my new web design, I want to identify nice designs that already exist. REMEMBER, I DON'T SELL ANYTHING ON MY WEBSITE SO EVERYTHING RELATED TO E COMMERCE IS NOT RELEVANT TO ME.

What being a UX or UI Designer really means?   Hell I don't know. I might just be a rich dumbass. I do know I don't want to wrap my brain power around it. I do know I want to pay someone to solve this for me. I wanna share my riches. You want some?

I want someone to do a study of existing designs of websites. I want you to examine 100-200 of them, and identify the top 5 or 10.

https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=what+are+the+most+effictive+web+designs

https://www.awwwards.com/websites/clean/

Here is what I do want.

  1. Colors that have a physiological history of being effective for cheering people up and relaxing them.
  2. Something uncommon/rare but yet still effective.
  3. Super easy to navigate and identify quickly what pages/topics I have available.
  4. I would like it to have the essence of a individual and not a business as much as is possible, without falsely claiming I am not a business. How fare can innuendos and implications go? Do websites for artists have any special nuances that makes them more attractive?
  5. Does it look good on A computer screen and on a cell phone? Does it function easily on both? Those I do want.
  6. Can we have menus at the bottom so when a reader reads a long page and gets to the bottom, they don't have to scroll back up just to get to a menu again? Want to see a long page?
  7. Can we allow our visitors to change the text size? I've see it once and loved it.
  8. Can we allow visitors to zoom into any picture they want to see more of? Without a slider being involved.
  9. I would like it to have some type of navigation identifier/signal, so a user can tell where they are in reference to what else is available.

Where as its harder to tell you what I want, it might be easier to tell you what I don't want.

  1. I don't want social media designs and logos all over it.
  2. I don't want corporate essence on it. I don't like the corporate mentality mindset. Identify that and avoid it. Corporate people are trained to copy cat other corporate people because the are scared to be original lest they be shunned.
  3. I don't want to be a copy cat, but can that really be avoided?
  4. I dont want sliders where pictures scroll side to side with no story clearly connected to them.
  5. I don't want them to have to search hard to see what I offer.
  6. I don't want it to be annoying or look desperate for talking them into calling me.
  7. I have shitloads of money. We can avoid the cheap look. We can avoid the homemade look. That's actually funny considering I did make my website, which is now outdated and not responsive. LOL            Hey, if you cant laugh at yourself, then you carry too much embarrassment.
  8. I cant stand grey text on white. I do not like low contrast for the readable parts.
  9. I don't like small text only young people can read.

Below is just descriptions to clarify our general target for all freelancers involved.

You are to do the most work your willing to do for the money of $50 (or whatever). When you hit the point of saying to yourself "any more work beyond this and I'd rather quit and go do something else" is when you turn in the report. Give me your maximum effort and time investment so that you keep me impressed, so I want to continue hiring you over and over with the next report/project.

If I get to the point where I don't believe I'm getting enough value from you for the last $50 I paid you, we will calmly and politely part ways, with no hard feelings or harsh words.

If your on a vein digging up great info, and you must stop to turn in a report for payment, but you believe that vein still has lots more great info to dig up, tell me that in the report you turn in. Tell me what percentage you think you've gotten and how much is left to get still.

There is a huge learning curve to get to the top. I know this. We all crawl before we walk. We all walk before we run. We run, study and practice enough, we become Olympic champions eventually.

I will read and archive the info/reports you give to me. Later I will hand it to my website developer and he/she will make pages from it. I will tell you what you did well. I will tell you where you could have done better. I will tell you where to focus more on the next report.

The first few reports will be nearly useless to me. But you will be learning and improving, getting the hang of it. Hopefully in the near future you will begin getting good at it and giving me valuable content and info.

Hopefully by the time I have spent 1-2 thousand on content creation and SEO, hopefully I will have a new website with great content listed at the top of googles search results. This is our goal. What do we have to learn to achieve it? What do we have to do to achieve it?

In future reports I will give you a list of keywords relevant to my services I offer. You will take a keyword, or group of similar words, and study them and give me content based on them.

But we have to be careful. The content created will not be all about stuffing it with lots of rich keywords. Yes the content must have at least some amount of them. But the primary focus is to inform my futures customers that I can do their work because they are seeing examples of similar work I've already done. Lots of my customers hire me because they have seen my website and see pages where I've already done that exact same work for others. It convinces them I can do that for them also.

Here are some examples of pages from my old website.

Notice I try not to beg my customers to hire me. I show them what I have done in the past, and if that is the service they are interested in, they will decide all by themselves to call me. Customers do not want pushy salesman/websites and I'm not pushy. Maybe a little to egotistical? But not pushy.

While you study my competition that is highly ranked on googles search results, and you study my website, identify what I've done right, what I've done wrong, what I can do better in the new website we are now in the design stages of before it goes live.

Fixr and their strategy

https://www.upwork.com/hiring/customer-stories/growing-company-utilizes-freelance-specialists-organically-gain-500k-visitors-month-case-study/

THE CHALLENGE: BUILD ORGANIC WEB TRAFFIC FROM A TARGET MARKET IN ANOTHER COUNTRY

FIXR is a popular website that provides cost guides for home remodeling projects. The company is based in Spain, but primarily serves U.S. customers. From the start, FIXR centered its growth strategy around creating niche blog posts to drive organic traffic to its website. To achieve this, the company requires a variety of talent who is U.S.-based, have subject matter expertise for home remodeling topics, and can help build and execute FIXR’s growth strategy.

THE SOLUTION: BREAK DOWN PROJECTS INTO DETAILED TASKS, THEN SOURCE EXPERTS THROUGH UPWORK

Driving SEO traffic in the U.S. is more difficult than in other countries because it’s more competitive. That’s why employees break projects down into several smaller tasks before engaging talent. Then they determine which tasks are best done by a freelancer versus an employee to maintain productivity and gain the highest results.

To optimize its SEO efforts, FIXR gets detailed with assigning experienced talent to very specific tasks. It may contract one niche writer to create a blog article, a second to write the headline for that article, and a third with social media expertise to write Facebook posts promoting the article. If the company isn’t sure how to vet talent for a specific skillset, it contracts a freelance expert for assistance.

And the article linked above goes in deeper detail.
